Today I am going to make a little review about the things that happened on last Tuesday (27/09/11). Bayern Munich gained 2 – 0 against Manchester City for a Champions League match, but this is not the big controversy. The thing is that, when Manchester City was partially losing 0 – 2, the Italian trainer Roberto Mancini asked player Carlos Tevez to enter the field when he refused to play. There’s still a lot of controversy for what really happened because Tevez said that it was just a misunderstanding, but Mancini ensures that he didn’t wanted to play. Now this case is under investigation, and Tevez has been suspended for two weeks, while the situation is being solved. (Mediotiempo.com)
In my opinion, I think that Tevez actually refused to play against Bayern Munich. Maybe he said that his intention never was to not play because he wanted to be in the starting eleven, so he possibly got mad and refused to enter as substitution in the last twenty minutes of the game. I may say that if Tevez truly refused to play, Mancini is correct with his decision. Soccer player have contracts, they are committed to obeying what the trainer says to them, and if any player refuses to do his liabilities, the club can do exactly the same, I mean, the club can stop paying them, and can also expelled them from the institution for not fulfill its contract. And this is exactly what Manchester City should do; the club must establish itself as the one ahead.

ResponderEliminarCarlos Tevez is a great player he is a great forward with skills that other players may envy. Unfortunately Tevez is involved in a problem that may affect his career very seriously. The match was Bayern Munich vs Manchester city, Tevez knows about his special skills and the things he can do inside the football field, but the trainer Roberto Mancini that game put him as a substitution. Sadly Tevez loose the thing that is one of the most Important aspects when you become famous, rich and good at what you do, you always need to have your feet on the ground. Tevez did not like the decision the coach made so at the middle of the second half Mancini wanted Tevez to enter as a substitution, he refused. As a player when you disobey your coach in such a disrespectful and offensive way you are finished. Mancini next day didn’t hide his anger he told the press and everyone that Tevez wouldn’t play for his team anymore. I believed Mancini is right Tevez is not all the team; Manchester City has other great forwards that could substitute Tevez without any problem. The problem was that Tevez felt that he was the best player there and he didn’t deserve to play as substitute, he is terrible wrong.
