Hi there! It has been a week since I wrote my first post in the blog, I ask myself, how can a week pass that quick? Anyway, I first want to thank to those who read my post, and also I want to recognize those people that commented about the post. Actually, I will like to answer the fifth comment right now. Mr. Serrano, it actually does not occur every day (winning the World Cup) so, I don’t see how, after displaying good soccer in their respective teams, being selected in the national squad, and winning the most prestigious tournament in their category, it is not the right time. If it is not, when would the right time be? After losing their talent because they were not able to develop it? I don’t think so! Well, this is just an argument, it is not something personal against you. What I mean, is that I am not trying to confront anybody, I am just analyzing the soccer issues.
Well, such a good way to warm up for today’s theme, Jorge Chatón Enríquez. Enríquez plays for the first division Chivas team, and plays as the captain of the Mexican National Team. He was widely questioned during the U-20 World Cup. People complained about his ball control and distribution, but despite these critics, he won the bronze ball, recognition to the third best player in the tournament, and won the third place with the Mexican team.
Sport commentators ask if Enríquez should be in the first team of Chivas, or he must gain a spot?. I have seen Enríquez play, and I can only say positive things about him. He is fast, tall, he has a strong personality, emotionally strong, he plays easily without risking his team, he was the best ball winner of the Cup, and many more aptitudes. So, I actually think that he already gained his spot in the first team after his presentation in the U-20 World Cup.
What do you people think?

Well I think that soccer is a very demanding sport, you have to commit entirely to it to really succeed in that business. And I said business because that is what it actually is, as sad as it sounded. I noticed that in the beginning, the players played for love to the sport, like the sub-17, their passion brought them to the gold. But I believe that as the players grow older they start to see it more like a job. And as awful as it sounds, all teams do is sell players, buy players, put on RENT PLAYERS! I mean, what is that?
ResponderEliminarBut in general I love to see soccer, I enjoy it pretty much, and a lot more in company of my family and a bar-b-q on a Sunday morning. And I don’t know if it is just me, but when Mexico plays in a world cup I feel a lot more nationalist, and really feel part of my country and my team. Of course, we lose sooner or later, but that’s not the point, is the confidence you have on your team. And here in Mexico is more common to play soccer since you are like 3 years old. Is the most famous sport in the country, more than football or basketball. I think that’s why we get very exited in world cups or that kind of tournaments.
I like a lot football soccer and I think you have a very good information, Chaton is a beginner player but he plays very good and I think that he make a very good participation in Colombian world cup he is a very good defender because recover a lot of balls and make very good passes to another players. He has a very good courage for football because he never give up and I think we would see him in a very good team very soon.
ResponderEliminarIn this comment, I prefer to talk about the before Blog. What do you think, if you tell us how many players of the past U-20 world cup in Colombia, now are playing in first team of them club.

Is the first time that I´ve seen your blog I actually love soccer so. First yes Mexico had a great participation in their respective world cups U-20 and U-17, the U-17 was actually a really good team that did great. But U-20 I don't really think it was composed by the best players, especially Chaton Enriquez, even though he won the Bronze Ball. He was good, with his height and his ability to steal the ball, but he loosed way too many balls that were reflected in the outcome in the match. He was good but he definitely needs to work a lot to improve and do a better job if he wants to go the Major Mexican Team.
