Nuri Sahin

Hello everybody, in the last post we talked about Francesc Fabregas, a Barcelona’s soccer player, but now, is time to let a player of Madrid be in this blog. I am talking about Nuri Sahin, one of the new additions to Real Madrid’s team. Sahin is a German-born Turkish footballer; he participated in the U-17 World Cup in 2005 with the Turkey national team, winning the bronze ball, just like Jorge Enríquez did with Mexico in U-20 World Cup. Sahin became a promise of international football. He played for Borussia Dortmund, when he won the Bundesliga (Germany Profesional Football League) title in this last season 2010-2011. After starting 33 of 34 matches, scoring 7 times, and assisting 8 times, he also won for the best player in the season for the Bundesliga 2011 (Bundesliga.de).

So, now it is evident why Real Madrid hired him in a six-year contract. Maybe more for his recent achievements, but without a doubt, Nuri Sahin began a great career 7 years ago. Now that he has 23 years old, still a young player, he shows a maturity that can be see only in few players at this age, such as Fabregas. Sahin makes decisive actions that can change the final results of any game. Every time that he is playing is noted. The precision of the edge passes that he makes always generate danger in the rival’s goal. Unfortunately Sahin is injured and he is not playing with Real Madrid at this moment. But hopefully we will see him play soon. He may not be in the first team immediately, but I’m sure it will not take too much time.

Fabregas' hiring

Hello people, I have been talking about Mexican soccer a lot, and now that the transfer period is over, I think that it should be great to discuss about some of the best transfers of this year. Today’s theme, because a friend of mine (Danna) asked for it, is Francesc Fabregas i Soler, best known as Cesc Fabregas. For those who don’t know who is him, Frabregas is a Spanish midfielder that recently moved to F.C. Barcelona, and he also plays in the Spanish National Team. He used to play in Barcelona when he was a kid (15-16 years old), but the Arsenal F.C. hired him at that age, so he grew with Arsenal reaching the captaincy along his growth. Fabregas became a phenomenon, he was the creator of Arsenal’s game, and he impressed many by the precision in his passes and his great technique, truly one of a kind. Now, he returns 8 years later to his beloved team.

F.C. Barcelona is actually a soccer monster, according to the International Federation of Football History & Statistics, it is the best team in the world, followed by Real Madrid C.F. (Spain) and Manchester United F.C. (England). Now, the question is, What is going to contribute Fabregas to Barcelona’s gameplay? As I just said, Fabregas is a player with great skills. Although Barcelona has the best midfielders, such as Xavi and Iniesta, Fabregas whenever he plays, puts his signature to every game. Many commentators have said that Cesc will never be as good as Xavi. I actually think that his only limit is himself. He was, at his short age, the captain of Arsenal, part of the soccer elite of England, and of Europe. In fact, I think that Fabregas have displayed better soccer than that of Xavi at his age. If Fabregas continues developing and loving soccer, he will be in the first team in no time at all.

In conclusion, the gameplay of Barcelona is the best one in the world, but Fabregas will ‘take it to the next level’. I believe he is capable of giving Barcelona’s team what it misses to being even better. But, it is very important to consider that he isn’t replacing anybody, although he can, he arrived to Barcelona as another mesh that will give a better stability, a better power, and a better creativity to the team’s gameplay.

Here some evidence of the great player Fabregas is.

Rivera Case

Is good to know that you, people, liked the last post theme. The Chatón Enríquez phenomenon will be a huge theme to talk of in the next years of the development of Mexican soccer. It is difficult to gain recognition to one of the best players in a tournament, it is more to gain it in the World Cup, and it is even more difficult to gain recognition as a central defender midfielder. If the development of Chaton is the right one, he will be in an important team of Europe very soon.

The theme for today’s post is the mediocrity of the Federación Mexicana de Fútbol (FMF). Yesterday I entered to my twitter account and I saw a question from Televisa Deportes Network (TDN) directed to people. Is it right the veto of Edson Rivera from the national team, because he went to the European soccer? When I saw this, my first reaction was: ‘This can’t me a real question, it should be a joke’. But, it wasn’t a joke, it was really happening.

For general knowledge, Edson Rivera is a young soccer player that used to play for Atlas. He played this last U-20 World Cup, having a very good role as a player. Rivera scored three goals for Mexico in this tournament, and although he wasn’t one of the best named players of the national team, he called the attention with his goals.

Now, returning to the theme, Rivera played the U-20 World Cup without being in any team. Atlas, instead trying to look for a contract renovation, they didn’t worry about it and let Rivera as a free agent (El Informador). Now that Rivera found a team in Europe, a Portuguese team named Sporting Braga, Atlas requires to be paid because they contributed to Rivera’s development as a soccer player. I completely agree that they formed Rivera as a player, but you cannot let a player with this potential stay without contract, even if you were in negotiations with the player, the directive should insist in signing Rivera as fast as possible. And now that he is leaving the Mexican soccer looking for a good development in Europe, Atlas asks for his veto from the national team, they should be ashamed. How is it possible to ask for such thing, Rivera had rights that let him to look for another team because he was a free agent, he wasn’t compromised with Atlas or any team, so he went himself to Portugal, and despite all the effort he did at finding a team and signing with it, the great president of Atlas dares to reclaim. What great news for Rivera!

So, answering the question, it is NOT right the veto of Rivera from the national team. And, if there is even a possibility of getting Rivera out of the national team, we will be witnessing a mediocre decision of a mediocre Mexican Football Federation (FMF).

Here are two of the three goals Rivera scored in the U-20 World Cup (Second and third goals from Mexico):
